Maddie Curtin

Maddie began taking dance classes with Miss Marylee and Miss Kelly at Dance Gallery at a young age, and is thrilled to now be a teacher in the same studios she was taught in. Their guidance helped to prepare her for eventually graduating from Millikin University’s Theatre and Dance program, where she specialized in Ballet, Tap, and Musical Theatre while also obtaining a certificate in Special Needs Education. She loves working with kids, whether teaching in a dance studio or directing them onstage.

Miss Maddie’s teaching style is focused around individuality, creativity, self-love, and an understanding that every dancer is different. The studio is a non-judgemental space where everyone can dance and explore the art in their own, diverse way, and leave feeling accomplished and loved. She teaches Creative Movement for 3 & 4 year olds where they learn the basics of ballet, build confidence, and improve their motor and social skills. She will also be teaching a new Musical Theatre Dance class offered in the Summer, where students will gain Musical Theatre Dance techniques while learning choreography from a Broadway show.
